Early Years Program

What learning can feel like when it is done well

3–5 years old

A child's time in the Early Years Program is more than preparation for big school. It is a full, rich experience of what learning can feel like when it is done well.

1 What it is

Curiosity, creativity, and confidence at the center

Our Early Years Program runs for the full academic year (August to May), offering children a more structured learning experience while keeping their curiosity, creativity, and confidence at the center of it all.

We believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and seen. At this stage, we nurture not only foundational skills, but also the qualities that matter most: kindness, confidence, and a love of learning. Through hands-on experiences, meaningful routines, and a caring community, we help children grow in every way — so they're not just ready for the next step, but excited for it.

Every element of our program is connected. The books we read support the ideas we explore. The ideas we explore come alive through hands-on experiences. Those experiences build the thinking skills, the confidence, and the love of learning that our children carry with them long after they leave Little Way.

2 What makes the program different

Small, vertical, purposeful

Small class size

We have a low teacher-student ratio of 1:6. We only accept a maximum of 12 students per class. This gives a good balance of social interaction and personalized education.

Vertical classes

We offer vertical classes — children are placed based on developmental readiness, not age alone. Our classes allow a mix of two age groups per class, taking the varied stages of development into consideration, reducing pressure and giving room for children to discover and celebrate individual talents. This mix allows your child to bloom at a comfortable pace, giving them as many "aha!" moments as possible, and letting them develop an "I Can!" mindset.

Purposeful programs

We use resources that were developed with the child in mind. Lessons are designed to meet international learning standards through purposeful play and multisensory activities. Our curriculum includes Learning Without Tears' Get Set for School, A-Z for Mat Man and Me, Handwriting Without Tears, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, and Earlybird Kindergarten Math. These are strengthened with monthly themes, engaging stories, STEM activities, creative arts, music and movement.

Reading skills development

"Every Child a Reader" is an advocacy close to our heart. We aim to instill a genuine love for reading in our students. Story Time, Show & Tell, and Library Time where kids can borrow books are staple practices in our classes.

3 Our classes

Buds, Blooms, and Bees

All Early Years classes run daily, Monday to Friday.

Early Years 1

Buds

Our students engage in discovery and pretend play as they learn more about themselves, their friends, and the world around them. We use Learning Without Tears' Get Set for School program as we work on foundational skills in the areas of Readiness & Writing, Language & Literacy, Numeracy & Math.

8:00 – 11:00 / 12:30 – 3:30 Php 24,800 / month
Early Years 2

Blooms

As our students prepare to move up to big school, we equip them with the foundational skills to succeed in Kindergarten. We incorporate multisensory programs such as Handwriting Without Tears, A-Z for Mat Man & Me, and Earlybird Kindergarten Math in our classes, alongside our thematic reading blocks and STEAM.

8:00 – 11:00 / 12:30 – 3:30 Php 26,000 / month
Early Years 3

Bees

Our Early Years 3 program is a transitional kindergarten program that supports children who are ready for a more advanced level of learning, regardless of age. We build on previous lessons while introducing deeper projects, more intentional skill-building, and opportunities for growing independence. With a focus on readiness rather than age alone, we help each learner develop the skills, confidence, and heart they need to enter big school fully prepared.

7:30 – 11:30 Php 27,200 / month

Enrollment for the Early Years Program is for the full school year (August to May). Monthly rates are shown above — other payment plans are available (annual and quarterly). Families may request a full breakdown. Fees are prorated for those who enroll after August.

Our fees are all-inclusive — no hidden fees or extra charges. Fees already include uniforms, class materials, educational resources, co-curricular programs, field trips, and school events.

4 What school life looks like

Rich days, in and out of the classroom

Experience-rich activities

Monthly projects, big idea activities, events, and field trips complement the concepts learned in class. Our activities engage the children, encourage their wonder and natural curiosity, and promote creative and critical thinking.

Outdoor play

Our students develop their gross motor skills by moving their bodies in outdoor play. They are able to run around the field, play with their friends, and enjoy the playground. They also get to be aware of nature and use the outdoors as an alternative classroom.

Co-curricular activities

We provide opportunities for self-discovery and aim to help students expand their interests. All our students get to join classes by our expert partners.

One-on-one sessions

Your child is important, and we want to make sure that they are given time to be heard. Time with Teacher is a weekly one-on-one check-in session that focuses on each child's unique needs.

Social awareness

Our students engage in activities that encourage them to take an active part in community-building and help them realize that they can always help others in their own little way. We also teach our students to appreciate Filipino culture, as well as celebrate diversity by learning about other world cultures.

Family partnership

We keep communication lines open

We keep communication lines open to offer support when you need it. You will receive reminders and regular updates on what was done in class — a wonderful way to jumpstart conversations with your child and continue the learning experience at home. You can also exchange ideas with the teachers and other families through our class group.

Both sides are choosing each other

Enrollment for the Early Years Program is more intentional — both sides are choosing each other. Families can start with a Family Discovery Session or a trial class. Open enrollment applies year-round — families who enroll mid-year have their fees prorated from their start date.
