About Little Way

A homegrown school, intentionally small

We are a homegrown school — Filipino-founded, family-centered, and intentionally small. Our curriculum draws from international standards and programs, woven together with our students' personal stories, Filipino culture, and the Catholic faith.

1 Our story

From Quezon City to BGC, one small step at a time

Little Way Playschool started in 2007 in Quezon City. It began as a response to the need for classes that champion developmentally-appropriate practices for young learners. In 2018, we relocated to our current home in Bonifacio Global City. We pivoted to online classes during the pandemic, returned to face-to-face learning, and in 2022, expanded our classes to accommodate more students.

The Little Way

Small things, done with great love

Our school takes its name and spirit from St. Therese of the Child Jesus, the Little Flower. She believed that the smallest action, done with love, can be a great thing.

This is the spirit behind everything we do. We pay attention to the small moments — a child's first attempt at writing their name, the first time they comfort a friend, the quiet pride of finishing something hard. These are not small things. These are everything.

Little Way Playschool Team

"We believe that every child, small as they may be, is capable of doing amazing things in their own little way."

2 How we think about children and learning

Children are naturally curious, capable, and full of potential

Our job is not to fill them with information — it is to create the conditions where they can discover, connect, and grow in ways that are meaningful to them.

We follow Developmentally Appropriate Practices — which simply means that we meet each child where they are. Not where we think they should be. Not where their age says they ought to be. Where they actually are, as an individual, with their own pace, their own strengths, and their own way of making sense of the world.

Young children learn by doing — by touching, building, pretending, moving, creating, and asking questions. Every activity at Little Way is designed with this in mind. When a child plants a seed, sorts blocks, acts out a story, or works through a disagreement with a classmate, they are not just playing. They are building the mental frameworks they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

3 What guides us

Vision

We aim to form students who are confident, kind, and happy — with a love of learning, a love of reading, and a love of community — with developed skills in every domain that will successfully allow them to enter and thrive in big school.

Mission

To provide positive learning experiences that make our students ready and willing to learn.

Core Values

We celebrate the individual child. We believe that with the right environment and support, each one has the potential for greatness — that each child blooms in their own way, in their own time. We practice the little way, where even the smallest action, done with love, can make a difference. In collaboration with our families and community, we work to maintain a culture steeped in respect, compassion, cooperation, growth, service, and gratitude.

4 Our community

Our doors are open to everyone

Little Way Playschool is a Filipino Catholic school and our doors are open to everyone.

We celebrate Filipino culture and draw from Catholic values in the way we care for our students and our community. At the same time, we welcome families of all backgrounds, faiths, and family setups. Families from different countries, different religions, and different household configurations are not just accepted here — they are part of what makes our community richer and our children more compassionate.

We celebrate Family Day — because families come in all shapes, and every family deserves to feel fully seen and included.
